Today marks the start of National Salt Awareness week, and it runs until 27th March 2011. Consensus Action on Salt and Health (CASH) aim to raise awareness of the health implications of salt in the diet, with particular emphasis on young men. This week is an excellent opportunity for everyone to consider the amount of salt that is in their food each day, especially is you consume high levels of processed food. I do not consume a lot of salt but I will pay more attention to my intake this week and see if there are any further changes that I can make.
